Fitness/Technical Training: (The Factory @ ACYS, 2105 Lee Road)
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays
Time: 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.
Players will train 4 days per week for 60 minutes. Each session will focus on speed and agility, coordination, strength, conditioning, and injury prevention.
Session Descriptions:
Total Conditioning: Each session will build the foundation of strength, endurance and power, through proper age appropriate techniques designed to increase aspects of strength while at the same time building physical stability.
Speed & Agility: Multi-directional movement ability is the key to athletic success in almost every sport. Players rely on the ability to change directions quickly with little wasted time and energy. This ability is critical for both offensive and defensive players. The session develops the physiological and neurological responses that occur within the body that causes multi-directional movement.
Vertical Explosion: Players rely on how high they can jump and how fast they can get vertical for set plays and air balls. The sessions develop the physiological and neurological responses that increase the explosiveness of the body and the ability to get vertical quick.
Futsal: (@ First Pres of Maitland) Futsal quickly develops skills required for soccer: balance, motor ability, agility and co-ordination, ball mastery, accurate and quick passing and receiving, perception insight, and awareness. Children learn through repetition and when practicing in small areas this occurs naturally. As Futsal is fast and action packed, fitness is improved while learning and having fun.
- Players will play pick up style games on Saturday. Futsal session is 60-minutes.
